That's the 1st round of EMRA completed and what can we say... it wasn't the best weekend.
At the start of the round the track was very cold and wet during the 1st qualifying session and Harry had a rider high-side right in front of him on the 2nd lap as well as himself losing the rear going into Edwinas. Harry really wasn't happy with the track but he still went out there and put some laps. This was all to find out that the transponder wasn't working. Harry was gutted but managed 10th on the grid for 125-450's.
During the open 500 qualifying session the track still a concern for Harry and due to this he put a time in and placed 26th on grid.
In the first race of the 125-450 class Harry got away from the track fairly smoothly but was overthinking the track due to the issues that he had that morning. Harry was also trying a new gearing set up on the bike that he felt wasn't quite working but still managed to get himself down to 10th.

During race 1 of the open 500 class, the track had begun to dry out by this point and Harry was feeling more confident and pushed more on the track. He managed to come in 23rd and was happy that he was overtaking other riders.
Race 2 of the 125-450 class and due to Harry's concerns with the gearing this was changed back to the normal set up. The track was completely dry and Harry's usual confidence began to shine through again. Harry had some great battles with the Honda 400s and 250s and came in 10th again.
Race 2 of the open 500 class begins and Harry is away and fighting. He had a brilliant battle with one of the garage neighbours this round and managed to bring it home in 20th.
All in all Harry showed that every rider experiences hiccups during race weekend's but in the end it all comes down to a matter of confidence.
A massive thank you to Matthew Putland for coming down to keep us company and can't wait till he is back out there with us, hopefully next month. A big thank you to everyone who makes it all possible for us to do it all.
